Dear Parents, Coach’s, Players, and Cheerleaders:

Welcome to the 2023 Petaluma Panther Season! Below you will find important information.

Listed below are some basic rules that our organization has established for our players and cheerleaders, we do anticipate additional COVID-19 guidelines as well:

·       Players/cheerleaders are required to be at all practices and games;

·       Players/cheerleaders must have all proper equipment at practices and games;

·       Players/cheerleaders are expected to listen and follow their coach’s instructions;

·       Players/cheerleaders will not chew gum or eat food during any practices or games, only water bottles are

        allowed for breaks during practice.

Practices will begin at the end of July
and will be held five days per week for football and cheerleading until approximately the end of August.  After that time, practices will be 3 nights a week and each team/squads head coach will inform you of the new times and days. Most practices begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.  Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up players/cheerleaders, for all practices and games, on time. There will be no smoking, no consuming of alcohol or drugs, and no dogs allowed on or around game or practice areas/fields.

Since practices are an extremely vital part of playing football and cheerleading, we have established the following rule regarding missed practices:

Any player/cheerleader who misses more than 3 days of practice time during August for non-medical reasons can be removed from the active roster and placed on the bottom of the waiting list. It is imperative for player/cheerleader safety that they not miss practice and conditioning time.

Full refunds will be given before July 31st, each year  50 % refund will be given until the last day of the first week of practice, 0 % (NO) refund will be given AFTER the start of the second week of practice.  No refunds on any equipment after July 31st. No refunds (EVER) on any personalized equipment. The only exception to this will be if the season is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Football and cheer requires a commitment of time and energy from the team parents that is unlike other youth sport programs. Each team requires that each and every parent volunteers their time to the benefit of the team and the children. Don’t limit your time to simply watching the games. Get involved and see for yourself why so many people are joining Petaluma Panthers Football & Cheer.

Our dedicated coaches are among the most talented and gifted individuals for teaching fundamentals of football, cheerleading and life skills. I’d like to thank the contributions and selfless dedication of all volunteers and sponsors. You’ll find that their influence stretches far beyond the boundaries of the playing fields. Keep checking our website for updates about our PPFC program and up-coming season. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the board members at any time.

Registration will open for Football and Cheer on March 1, 2023 at petalumapanthers.org (or you can CLICK HERE TO REGISTER).
